KARACHI: STATE LIFE BUILDING CATCHES FIRE ONE DEAD:

 A fire broke out in the State Life building located in the Saddar area, Karachi, on Wednesday 28th Nov 2012.
The fire broke out on the second floor of the building and reached the eighth floor. A person jumped out of the building to save himself from the fire and was severely injured. However, he succumbed to the injuries and passed away. He was reportedly in the building for a job interview.

Earlier on September 11, 2012, 250 workers at the Ali Enterprises garment factory in Karachi were suffocated or burnt alive when a massive fire tore through the building during the evening shift. The factory made ready-to-wear clothing for Western export.
Another fire broke out in a plastic factory in the city on October 29. Luckily, there was no loss of life; however, 750 people were left jobless as several portions of the building collapsed
We never learn from the past, a person’s life is gone because of mismanagement of rescue services. And after that, the media of our country have a story to take their ratings to a high point by showing footage of that jobless person who looking for a job in that building. Media channels and lots of people can only see the helplessness of that person. I don't think so!
There were many people down there seeing and capturing the whole scene through their cell phones and cameras but no one was there to save his life. How insensitive behaviour is this????
In pictures, we can easily see so many people down there, which saw him struggling for his life but no one won’t do anything to save him. We all know that media persons have their resources why they do not use their resources there????
The ordinary person is not so helpless that he at least cannot try to save that person, why do they always wait for Government officials for the rescue process????
Why does the media broadcast the footage of the death of that person again and again, so that his family’s emotions won’t hurt????
Why are all of us going so insensitive that news of any person's death is just “news” for us????

When do we all understand our civic responsibility as well as humanity????

General Zia ul Haq's reforms and Islamization of Pakistan   Abstract :                            On 10 February 1979, General Zia ul Haq promulgated new ordinances which were Enforcement of Hudood laws in Pakistan which includes Zina, Prohibition, Qazaf, and crimes against Property.
